FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(ROSEMONT, ILLINOIS) – The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce our 2018 Brass Educational Team and welcome Kevin LeBoeuf as Caption Manager.
Michael Martin will continue to serve as The Cavaliers’ Brass Arranger and Caption Supervisor as LeBoeuf leads an exciting team of educators and professional musicians for the upcoming 2018 season.
“Kevin brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and infectious energy to the position, the caption, and the drum corps as a whole,” arranger and caption supervisor Michael Martin stated.
"We are simply ecstatic to merge our pedagogy and symphonic approach with the fundamental philosophies and rehearsal techniques that Kevin has employed with tremendous success.”
Program coordinator David McGrath points to the balance of staff consistency and the injection of new passion and tenacity as being undeniably positive developments for The Cavaliers.
"This dynamic educational team brings an outstanding instructional and performance pedigree to our membership and music ensemble," said McGrath. "We simply can't wait to see this team, and this horn line, in action."
Leadership for brass team also includes Brad Hughes as associate caption manager and Freddy Martin as pedagogy coordinator, both returning as veteran educators for The Cavaliers in 2018 to serve alongside LeBoeuf and (Michael) Martin.
Martin added that “with Freddy and Brad rounding out our caption’s leadership team, I couldn't be more optimistic about the trajectory of the brass program and, more importantly, the music and performance education we are delivering here at The Cavaliers."
