Cavaliers Announce 2020 Brass Team

(ROSEMONT, Ill.) – The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce our 2020 Brass Educational Team, under the leadership of Michael Martin, Kevin LeBoeuf, Drew Dickey, and Claire Pittman.
“Our brass staff is made up of some of the best teachers and musicians, not only in our activity, but in the larger musical world,” said Michael Vaughn, Corp Director. “As an educator, I am thrilled that our students are being taught and influenced by these extraordinary individuals. They have a proven record of success and are committed to leading The Cavaliers back to the forefront of competitive drum corps.”
Kevin LeBoeuf returns for his third year as Brass Caption Manager in 2020, along with Caption Coordinator Drew Dickey and Caption Administrator Claire Pittman.
Michael Martin will continue his role as the Brass Arranger for the 2020 Cavaliers, as well as, supervise the overall Brass Caption.
DCI Hall of Fame member Freddy Martin returns as Pedagogy Coordinator, with Travis Cross, Sean Conley, Alan Armstrong, Jonathan Gill, Kazuto Ito, and Uichi Kajiyama serving as Pedagogy and Ensemble Consultants.
The talented brass educational team includes Alec Blazek, Joey Chen, Jeremy Figlewicz, Patrick Hinton, Clark Hunt, Matt Owen, Tim Sexton, Jeremy Stevens, and Matthew Ezeh.
The Brass team is excited to add new team members Dylan Toombs (Ensemble Specialist), Randy Isoda (Brass Consultant), and Justin Beaman (Brass Intern).
“I am so excited to have our Brass staff back in place for the 2020 season,” said Kevin LeBoeuf, Brass Caption Manager for The Cavaliers. “ Adding Dylan Toombs to the team has been a dream of mine since I came to the Cavaliers, and having Randy on the team is going to add an entirely different layer of knowledge to our already diverse staff membership. Additionally, we’ve tapped into our own student talent, adding 2019 baritone soloist and recent ageout, Justin Beaman as our brass staff intern. We’re already having so much fun, and I think you can expect an even more dynamic, musical, and exciting version of Cavaliers Brass program in 2020.”

The Cavaliers were founded in 1948 from Boy Scout Troop 111 by the late Don Warren. One of the most successful drum and bugle corps in history, The Cavaliers have won 20 national championships, including seven Drum Corps International world championships, since 1992.
