Cavaliers Announce 2019 Design and Caption Leadership Teams

(ROSEMONT, ILLINOIS) - The Cavaliers are pleased to announce our Design and Caption Leadership Teams for the 2019 season, under the guidance of Program Coordinator David McGrath.

McGrath, who returns for his sixth year with The Cavaliers and fourth season as Program Coordinator, leads the veteran creative team of Daniel Wiles (Artistic Director), Tommy Allen (Visual Designer), Blake Dutton (Color Guard Designer), Richard Hinshaw (Drill Designer), Michael Martin (Brass Arranger), Michael McIntosh (Percussion Arranger), Alan Miller (Percussion Arranger), and new addition Clif Walker (Percussion Design Consultant).  

“I am thrilled to have all our primary designers back in 2019 and to welcome Clif Walker to the team,” said David McGrath, Program Coordinator. “Our designers have developed a unique voice within the activity, and I believe our collective voice will only continue to grow stronger in the year ahead.”

“The instructional leadership that we have in place for every caption is simply top notch,” added McGrath. “We have a wonderful blend of new faces and returning veteran teachers, all of whom have established themselves as leaders in their respective fields. I continue to be inspired by these amazing and passionate educators.”

The caption leadership teams include returning educators Kevin LeBoeuf (Brass Caption Manager), Drew Dickey (Brass Caption Coordinator), Claire Pittman (Brass Caption Administrator), Travis Speice (Color Guard Caption Manager), CJ McCrory (Color Guard Caption Coordinator), Michael McIntosh (Percussion Caption Manager), Tom McGillen (Electronics Caption Manager), and new additions Brian Kraft (Visual Caption Manager), Brian Soules (Visual Caption Manager), and Patrick Forrester (Visual Caption Coordinator).

“The Cavaliers have a rich history of being innovators at the forefront of the visual aspect of the activity,” said Brian Kraft, Visual Caption Manager. “I am incredibly honored to be a part of this organization and to work with some of the most talented designers and instructors in the world.”

The Cavaliers are actively recruiting for the upcoming 2019 season, with live Audition Experience events in Atlanta, Japan, Dallas / Ft. Worth, and Chicago, as well as Video auditions now open for registration. With an exciting coast-to-coast tour beginning in California, we are searching for the next group of young men who will challenge themselves to take bold steps forward in 2019 as performers, as leaders, and as Cavaliers.
