Ryan Ellis
Ryan Ellis is a Visual Designer, Music Arranger, Program Coordinator, and Educational Consultant for marching bands, indoor drumlines and drum corps.
Ryan spent 2018 and 2019 teaching the Crossmen, where he served as the Snare Tech and Battery Coordinator. From 2020-2023 Ryan had the privilege of being the Battery Arranger and Percussion Caption Head for the Madison Scouts, and in 2024 remained on the design team as the Battery Arranger.
Ryan remains active in WGI as a designer and educator where he works with both Scholastic and Independent programs. He is the Visual designer for Rhythm X and the Battery arranger for ConneXus.
Ryan currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio, with his wife, Kayla, and sons, Theo and Louie. Before transitioning to pageantry design full-time, he had a successful career as the percussion director for Lebanon City Schools in Lebanon, Ohio. Ryan also spent 6 consecutive summers marching DCI with organizations such as Spirit of Atlanta, The Bluecoats, and The Blue Devils.
Ryan remains incredibly active in show design through the Marching Arts Society, an educational and design resource that he founded in 2017.
