Peter Weber
Peter Weber is the director of orchestras, jazz, and music production programs at Prospect High School in Mount Prospect, Illinois. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in music education from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Master's Degree in instrumental conducting from the University of Houston. Before teaching at Prospect High School, Peter taught as the Assistant Director of Bands at Lopez High School in Brownsville, Texas, as an Assistant Director for the University of Houston jazz programs, and as the Director of Bands at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. He resides in the Chicago suburbs with his two children.
Peter has been writing drill for over 30 years. He has written for several Drum Corps International organizations over 15 years, including the Santa Clara Vanguard, the Santa Clara Vanguard Cadets, the Madison Scouts, the Glassmen, and the Colts Drum and Bugle Corps. Additionally, he has written drills for "The Commandant's Own" – The United States Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, the Yokohama Inspires Drum and Bugle Corps, and several universities, including the University of Kansas and the University of Houston. Programs utilizing his drill design have received notable placements and recognition, including Drum Corps International finalists, Winter Guard International finalists, Bands of America Grand National and Regional finalists, Bands of America Regional Champions, State Finalists, and State Champions.
Peter was a member of The Cavaliers from 1993 to 1998 and is excited to play a role in this historic organization again.
