Scott McCormick

Board Member

Scott McCormick was born with some “green blood” in his veins: his father Larry McCormick is a former Cavaliers percussion instructor, designer, and DCI Hall of Fame recipient. Scott marched with The Cavaliers in 1976. He continued his music career through high school and college career at Elmhurst (IL) College and Northern Illinois University, taking the leadership role of Bands of America in 1984. He served as the organization’s President and CEO for 26 years from 1984-2010, during which time the organization grew exponentially, both in participation and financial support.

Ann Miller

Board Member

Anne Miller began her love of drum corps when the Bridgemen housed at her high school in NW Tennessee in the late 70's. She marched color guard in high school and at the University at Marten, TN. She has been a constant "boots on the ground" band parent and drum corps volunteer since 2012. Her son Andrew marched front ensemble with The Cavaliers from 2016- 2019.

Kirsten Miller

Board Member

Kirsten Miller has been dedicated to the marching arts since her high school years at Lake Howell High School in Orlando, Florida, where she performed in the color guard and with Imagination Winter Guard. Following graduation, she marched with Suncoast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps in 1987 and 1988. Kirsten continued her career as a technician until starting her family.

Tim Miller

Board Member

Tim Miller began his career with The Cavaliers in 1982 as a rookie in the Cavalier Cadets, playing the bass drum. He advanced to The Cavaliers in 1983, where he marched in the esteemed Cymbal line for the entirety of his five-year tenure, aging out in 1987.

Ed Ribar

Board Member

Ed Ribar is a marketing professional, with over 15 years of experience, including 11 years at Procter & Gamble (P&G) where he worked in brand management for household-name brands like Old Spice and Gillette.  Ed holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from The Ohio State University.

Matt Seltzer

Board Member

Matt Seltzer started playing clarinet and saxophone in middle school in Las Vegas, and later joined the marching band at Silverado High School. In college, he began learning baritone with the goal of marching in a drum corps, and eventually played euphonium with Pacific Crest in 2004 and the Blue Knights in 2005. In his new role with CAPE, Matt is ecstatic to bring his experience in marketing, market research, public relations and digital marketing to help the Cavaliers organization grow and thrive in the future.

Dale Young

Board Member

Dale Young started his drum corps career with the Golden Knights of Southgate, KY before joining The Cavaliers baritone section 1982. During his 5-year career with the corps, Dale was part of the group that led the resurgence of the Cavaliers in DCI culminating in its first DCI medalist position in his last year, 1986. Later, Dale was a member of the 2008 CACC888 anniversary corps and became an activate member in the Cavaliers Alumni Association. Dale became a member of the CAPE Board of Directors in 2012 and has served as Vice President since 2016. He currently serves on the Executive Committee and has chaired the Governance, Ethics & Compliance, Strategic Planning, and 75th Anniversary committees.

Tom Cabanski

Board Member Emeritus

Tom Cabanski has been a member of The Cavaliers Board of Directors from 1997 – 2014. He marched in The Cavaliers brass line 1956 and 1957, going to The Cavaliers after marching 3 years with the Evanston Lancers Drum & Bugle Corps.
