Dane Castillo

Demetrio “Dane” Castillo (AKA Dooby) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer/arranger, educator, and personal trainer based in his hometown of New Orleans, LA. Dane earned his Master's in Euphonium and Percussion Performance at Loyola University New Orleans, where he also earned his Bachelor's in Music Composition.

Dane has marched with the Cavaliers in 2018 playing baritone and running the metronome and has been working with the corps since 2022.  Dane has also marched with Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps in 2016 & 2017, Elite Independent in 2017 & 2018, and aged-out with Monarch Independent in 2022.  

Besides playing and writing music, Dane enjoys playing video games on his Nintendo Switch and PC, laughing at various types of comedy, travelling the world, and spending time with friends and family!
