Russell Rybicki
Russell Rybicki is currently Second horn with the North Carolina Symphony and is the hornist and an arranger for the Monarch Chamber Players. Previously, he held positions in the San Antonio Philharmonic, the former San Antonio, Symphony, the Vancouver Symphony and the New World Symphony. He has played with the Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, Rochester Philharmonic, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra, The NuDeco Ensemble, and the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He was a fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, the National Orchestral Institute and Festival, l'Orchestre de la Francophonie, and the Castleton Music Festival.
Russell completed his graduate studies at Northwestern University and his undergraduate degree at the Eastman School of Music studying horn and instrumental Music Education. His primary teachers include Gail Williams, Jonathan Boen, W. Peter Kurau and Derek Conrod.
Russell’s drum corps experience includes playing mellophone for the Crossmen 2007-2009 where he was section leader and field-lining captain and Carolina Crown 2010.
