Graeme Mason was a member of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps, from 2000 to 2003. He marched 1st baritone with the Corps when it won 3 World Championships and its first Jim Ott Award in Best Brass. He had an amazing opportunity to march four summers with such a talented corps. He also got to learn from world-class teachers and staff. “Without the experience I had in The Cavaliers, I wouldn’t be where I am today in my career.” Graeme joined the CAPE board of directors in 2021 and is part of the Governance Committee.

After aging out, Graeme graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. In 2005, he moved to Madison, WI to work at Epic as a software engineer. Epic is a global leader in electronic health records. During his career, he has worked on projects for some of the top hospitals and medical centers in the world, such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Cambridge NHS Trust in the U.K., plus many smaller hospitals and clinics.

Graeme is married to Heidi Wenner. They enjoy spending time with four young nephews as well as spending time outdoors biking and getting to travel. Graeme enjoys playing piano as a volunteer at St. Mary’s Care Center to stay in touch with music and he and Heidi are volunteers for Badger Honor Flights. Since they don’t have children of their own, he enjoys having the opportunity to support young members of The Cavaliers and the other CAPE programs, who may not have otherwise had the opportunities he enjoyed during his formative years.
