Chris Hartowicz
Board Member
Chris Hartowicz has been involved with The Cavaliers since 1967. His roles have included marching member of the color guard (1969-1977), Color Guard Sergeant (1977), Cavalier of the Year (1977), guard instructor (1978), Cavalier parent (2002 - 2005), President of the Cavalier Alumni Association (2007-2010), Director of CAC888 (2008), and served on the Board of Directors since 2012 and became President of CAPE in 2016. He also has chaired the Executive Committee.
His experience within the marching arts also includes serving as designer, consultant and instructor with several drum corps, bands, and winter percussion lines. Chris also has been a visual adjudicator for the marching band, winter guard, and indoor percussion activities since 1982 and served on the Board of Directors of the Central States Judges Association and was inducted into the CSJA Hall of Fame in 2006.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago with a degree in Business Management and brings over 38 years of experience in areas such as Sales Management and Coaching, sales training and development, logistics strategies, and supply chain management. His Sales Training instruction role has taken him to both Europe and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
Chris retired from FedEx in 2018.and resides in Carmel, Indiana with wife, Cathy, an alumni of the Golden Knights Color Guard of Chicago, Illinois and enjoys RV camping and travel. Son Jeffrey is a Cavalier alumni (2002-2005) and daughter Robin is an alumni of Phantom Regiment (2002-2003) where she serves on their Board of Directors.
