CAPE Welcomes Four New Board Members and Leaders

Dan Brunk, New Cavaliers Alumni Association Board President
Dan Brunk was a member of The Cavaliers during 1991 and 1992 (a championship season). His professional background is in the legal field, with over 15 years of legal experience in the US and UK. His specializations include risk management, financial services risk consulting, and regulatory compliance. Brunk is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York, several federal courts, and the United States Supreme Court. He is also a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
Prior to his law career, Brunk was a band director in Indiana, where his ensemble received awards and top ratings in marching band and concert band. Brunk’s experiences in both law and music education are an invaluable resource to CAPE and we are honored to have him serve as our CAA president! Read More About Dan Brunk Here
Welcome to Our Three New Board Members:
Brandon Barrometti, Matt Seltzer, and Scott McCormick
These three additions include some familiar faces to our organization as well as some newcomers. Read more about each below!
Brandon Barrometti has been involved with The Cavaliers since 1999. He was a marching member from 1999-2002, during which time he served as drum major and was awarded both Rookie of the Year and Cavalier of the Year. He served on brass staff from 2003-2007, and with this marching and teaching tenure, was with the corps for five championship seasons. Barrometti served as the CAA Board President prior to becoming a board member. He is an esteemed band director in Centerville, Ohio, where he lives with his wife and two children. Matt Seltzer is new to the CAPE organization, but not new to drum corps. He marched with Pacific Crest in 2004 and the Blue Knights in 2005, playing the baritone. Seltzer now lives in Henderson, Nevada and is a full time marketing professional, specializing in market research, public relations, and digital marketing. He is looking forward to using this skill set to help CAPE grow and thrive. Read More About Matt Seltzer Here
Scott McCormick marched with The Cavaliers in 1976. Drum corps runs in the McCormick family: Scott’s father Larry McCormick is a former Cavaliers percussion instructor, designer, and DCI Hall of Fame recipient. Scott served as Bands of America’s President and CEO for 26 years, from 1984 - 2010, a time when the organization grew significantly. McCormick has won numerous awards and accolades, including being inducted into the Music For All / Bands of America Hall of Fame in 2010, and Phi Beta Mu’s Outstanding Contributor Award in 2008. McCormick is now the Senior Consultant for J. W. Pepper & Son, the world’s largest sheet music distributor. Read More About Scott McCormick Here
