The Cavaliers Color Guard Welcomes Three Dynamic Staff Additions
We are thrilled to proudly announce three new powerhouses to round out our summer Color Guard team:
Stephanie Chavez joins us as Assistant Caption Head and Choreographer, Vance Anderson comes on board as a Choreographer, and Anthony Martinez joins us as an Instructor, rounding out a truly world-class team for our 75th season.
Stephanie Chavez comes on board after 4 years as Phantom Regiment’s Color Guard Caption Head, Choreographer, and Designer. She has taught many notable groups across the nation, including Cypress Independent, the Boston Crusaders, the Crossmen, the Blue Knights, and high school championship groups with Cypress Ridge High School, Spring High School, and Klein Oak High School. As a marching member, Chavez participated with the Phantom Regiment as a captain, Carolina Crown, Code Black, and Cypress Independent as a captain. Chavez currently resides in Houston where she is the Color Guard Director at Friendswood High School. Read more about her here.
Vance Anderson has also participated with and taught several notable groups across the country. As a member, Anderson marched with Fort Walton Beach High School, Choctawhatchee High School, UCF Pegasus World, Carolina Crown Colorguard, Boston Crusaders Colorguard, the Pride of Cincinnati, and the Japan tour of Blast! The Music of Disney in 2019. Anderson has taught with J.W. Mitchell High School, Timber Creek High School, Northview High School, Pegasus A Winterguard, Pegasus Open, UCF Pegasus World, and the Phantom Regiment Colorguard. He is the current director of both Timber Creek High School and Pegasus Open Winterguard. Read more about him here.
Anthony Martinez rounds our instructional staff with a wealth of experience marching and teaching. He is currently the director of the Marcus High School Color Guard where he has taught for the past four years. Martinez’ marching experience includes the Crossmen, the Blue Stars, and CGT Denton. As an instructor, Martinez is passionate about creating a positive, artistic space for all performers. He is thrilled to come on board with The Cavaliers this season. Read more about him here.
