Kevin Kenney
Kevin Kenney is an active performer, clinician, arranger, and educator in the Atlanta area. He is currently the Assistant Band Director/Percussion Director at Milton High School in Milton, GA. He is also currently in his 10 th year on staff and 8 th year as the front ensemble arranger for the WGI PIW Finalist Atlanta Quest. He is also the front ensemble arranger for WGI PIO Finalist Q2 and Atlanta CV (DCI All-Age).
Kevin has earned a Master’s Degree in Percussion Performance from Texas Christian University and his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State University. He has performed at the Percussion Arts Society International Convention multiple times in the Marimba Competition, Showcase Concerts, and the Marching Festival. He has also performed internationally multiple times as a soloist, as a member of the Kenney Percussion Duo, and as a member of the TCU Symphony Orchestra.
At Milton, Kevin assists with all concert bands, the marching band, and leads the percussion ensembles and the PSW World Finalist Milton Indoor Drumline. The Milton Percussion Ensemble has performed at the GMEA State Conference and has placed first at the PASIC Chamber Percussion Ensemble Competition. He has been heavily involved with the marching activity as a performer over the years including being a member of The Cavaliers, Spirit of JSU, Memphis Sound, and Music City Mystique, as well as serving as a front ensemble coordinator at The Cadets. He has also taught and arranged for multiple WGI and BOA groups throughout the country. Kevin has also had an original composition premiered at The Midwest Clinic and is published through C-Alan Publications.
Kevin is a member of the Percussive Arts Society, GMEA, NBA and is a proud endorser of Innovative Percussion, Sabian Cymbals, and Remo Drumheads.
