Donald Shorter
Donald Shorter is an interdisciplinary artist and currently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance at Marymount Manhattan College. Donald received his M.F.A. in Dance from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and was a re-stager and principal dancer with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and has danced with Philadanco, Sean Curran Company, and Crystal Pite. Shorter has also been on tour with Broadway national tours: Hairspray, A Chorus Line, and La Cage Aux Folles.
Donald’s work has been presented at The Pompidou Center, Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Judson Memorial Church, 92nd St Y, Center for Performance Research, and The Criterion Channel. Prior to pursuing a career in the performing arts, Donald marched in the Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps as a colorguard member from 1996-1999.
