Cavaliers to Host WGI Send-Off Exhibition

The Cavaliers are pleased to invite our alumni, family, and the local Chicagoland community out to West Leyden High School on Sunday, April 15 to cheer on CAVALIERS INDOOR PERCUSSION (WGI Independent World Class), CHROMIUM WINDS (2017 WGI Winds Independent Open Class Champion), and CRYSTAL LAKE THUNDER (WGI Independent A Class and Cavalier Affiliate Program) as they prepare for the upcoming 2018 WGI World Championships held in Dayton, Ohio.

This free WGI Send-Off Exhibition event will feature  inside access to CIP's rehearsal, a joint performance of Chromium Winds and Midwest Connection, exclusive 2018 show performances by each ensemble, and several ways to support these student programs.

"Our students, staff, and volunteers involved with Cavaliers Indoor, Chromium Winds, and Crystal Lake Thunder have invested an inspiring amount of work so far this season," said Chris Lugo, Executive Director of The Cavaliers' organization. "This open house event is our opportunity to showcase our indoor programs to the local community before closing out the year with WGI World Championships!"

About Midwest Connection

Midwest Connection (MC) is an adult (18+) co-ed community ensemble established by The Cavaliers. MC focus is to gather the Midwestern Regions’ best and finest by connecting the dots between The Cavaliers’ organization, the drum corps community, our performers, and the local Chicagoland community.

Midwest Connection aims to celebrate the activity and the regions rich history together in a fun, inclusive, low-cost manner and provide a musically challenging performance group for all to experience.

Crystal Lake Thunder (CLT) is an affiliate program of The Cavaliers presented by Crystal Lake Strikers of Crystal Lake, IL. This new Independent Percussion ensemble will offer young male and female percussionists a competitive performance outlet in the Chicagoland area that builds on the shared resources, style, and excellence of The Cavaliers' award-winning programs and ensembles.
