Presenting "Inside The Sound"
The Cavaliers and Carolina Crown Announce "Inside The Sound": A Groundbreaking Immersive Musical Event at Fishers Event Center
Presented by Paige’s Music
FISHERS, IN — Prepare for a sonic experience that defies expectations. Two of the most popular and celebrated ensembles in the marching arts, The Cavaliers and Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps, are coming indoors for a first-of-its-kind joint venture titled Inside The Sound: An Immersive Musical Experience, presented by Paige’s Music.
Taking place on June 27th at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Fishers Event Center, this event offers a departure from the traditional stadium setting of drum corps. Scheduled just days before both groups launch their competitive summer tours, "Inside The Sound" strips away the distance of a football field to provide an exclusive, up-close look at the raw power and technical mastery of these world-class performers.
For the Fishers community and those new to the activity, this is far from a traditional indoor concert. "Inside The Sound" is a high-octane, professional-grade display of brass and percussion that vibrates through the floorboards and demands to be felt as much as heard. Each group features more than 80 brass performers and 35 percussionists, creating a massive, high-impact wall of sound specifically designed to fill the theater with incredible intensity. The acoustics of the Fishers Event Center will place the audience at the heart of an intense, precision-driven performance.
This event brings together two legendary organizations that represent the absolute pinnacle of their craft. The Cavaliers, based in Rosemont, Illinois, are one of the most recognizable names in the world with seven DCI World Championship titles to their credit. Joining them is Carolina Crown from Fort Mill, South Carolina, a fan-favorite powerhouse that has achieved the remarkable feat of placing in the top five globally every year since 2008, taking first place in 2013.
The performers of both groups are talented young adults showcasing elite athleticism and top-tier musicianship. Members of each corps undergo a rigorous winter audition process and a grueling training schedule, coming together once a month from December until May, and then moving in together to rehearse daily. 12+ hour rehearsal days in the summer allow these groups to achieve a level of synchronization and musicality that rivals professional orchestras and Broadway productions. "Inside The Sound" is the culmination of thousands of hours of preparation, brought into an intimate, high-energy indoor setting just before the groups begin their national travels.
Tickets for this premiere, one-of-a-kind event go on sale Friday, March 13th via Ticketmaster at fisherseventcenter.com. Fans and newcomers alike are encouraged to act quickly to secure their place inside the sound. For more information on the performing ensembles, visit cavaliers.org and carolinacrown.org.
