Congratulations to Chromium Winds on winning the Winds Independent Open Class with a score of 93.15!

Making this to be a historical season, Chromium took top honors in the WGI Sport of the Arts Winds Independent Open Class for the third consecutive time (the fourth 3-peat in Cavalier history) in their unprecedented third year of existence! The ensemble’s 2019 program was entitled “Left to Right” with music design by Michael Martin, sound design by Matt Hahn, and visual design by Kevin Nevsimal.

Congratulations to Crystal Lake Thunder for theIR FIRST TIME Finals Placement!

Crystal Lake Thunder, an affiliate-program of The Cavaliers, finished their season for the FIRST TIME with a Finals performance at the WGI Sport of the Arts Percussion World Championships!

“Our first time placing in finals was truly surreal. Every student and staff member put their heart and soul into this program,” states Khadijah Kellogg, Crystal Lake Thunder Director. “It was a personal journey and process for all of us and it was nice to see that rewarded."

Placing 13th in the Independent Percussion A Class with a score of 84.325, Thunder’s production was called “Weight.” It referred truly to the weight of life that we all experience through the ups and downs. The universal feelings of joy, friendship, rejection, or grief to connect us all. With the help of those around, everyone can overcome life's challenges.

The full staff team includes Dale Hallerberg (Executive Director), Khadijah Kellogg(Director), Bryan Jamison, Jeff Jennings, Daniel Eastwood, Daniel Jack, Josh Vezina, Victoria Clifford, Jakob Furgat, Carter Taylor, Kyle Johnson, Tyler Brooks, and Derek Dalton.
