Cavaliers Announce the 2019 Media Team

(ROSEMONT, Ill.) – The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce our 2019 Media Team, under the direction of Lamar Long.

“We carefully selected this team based on their very unique experiences and personalities,” said Lamar Long, Director of Marketing and Media. “It's the biggest cast of media professionals we have ever had, and one of the biggest in the activity. Together, I know there is nothing they can't accomplish and I’m super excited to see how their content engages our audience.”

Michelle Morales returns to The Cavaliers for her second year as the Media Caption Manager in 2019.

“Michelle's an incredible leader and mentor,” Long said. “Her drive and passion for building effective teams will for sure take The Cavaliers media to the next level.”

Morales is one of two returning members of the Media Team along with Social Media Manager Carly McClendon.

"Michelle and Carly are our seasoned pros,” Long said. “They have been shaping the aesthetic and overall brand of The Cavaliers for years. I’m excited to see what this team creates under their incredible leadership."

Michelle Morales, Media Caption Manager for The Cavaliers, is ecstatic to return to the program and work with the young media team.

“Being immersed in the hard work, passion and love that The Cavaliers have is extraordinary,” Morales said. “My hope is to capture the constant drive that they all share. I look forward to finding new and unique ways to tell their stories this summer.”

The Media Team will include the talents of Jonathan Bonaguro, Hunter Cone, Tamiris Delgado, Cesar Fundora, Annie Hollon, Mai-Linh Lillard, Patrick Rupp and Jackson Weimer.

“I’m beyond thrilled to work with this team of talented and diverse individuals,” Long said. “We believe in the power of media to connect to our mission, tell a story that honors our history and share the journey of the members as they prepare for Drum Corps International World Championships,”

The Cavaliers were founded in 1948 from Boy Scout Troop 111 by the late Don Warren. One of the most successful drum and bugle corps in history, The Cavaliers have won 20 national championships, including seven Drum Corps International world championships, since 1992.
