The Cavaliers Welcome Back Adam Sage, Plus Three Returning Ensemble Specialists
The Cavaliers are thrilled to share a notable new addition to the team for 2024. Well-known pageantry veteran Adam Sage returns to The Green Machine as Artistic Director. Additionally, renowned educators Joni Perez, Tom Aungst, and Michael Pote rejoin in 2024 as ensemble specialists and consultants.

“I am honored and excited to come back to The Cavaliers and this storied organization” states Sage, who first taught the corps in 1996-2002. “I am thrilled to rejoin this team of designers and instructional staff I’ve taught and collaborated with in the past. It’s energizing to be able to create new opportunities for a drum corps with such a rich history.” Read Adam Sage’s full bio here
Joni Perez, Tom Aungst, and Michael Pote all return for 2024. Perez and Pote both return as brass consultants, Pote in an elevated role from last season. He notes “the incredible design and instructional team at The Cavaliers include some of my dearest friends, who are also my largest musical influences. It is an honor to work with them and supporting the continued success of The Cavaliers.” Tom Aungst returns as an ensemble specialist, also taking on a larger role than last year. " Aungst says “it was a true privilege working with the members and staff of the 75th iteration of The Cavaliers. I’m looking forward to more great things and another amazing season in 2024.”
