SUE HEITZMAN
2023 HONORARY CAVALIER

Nomination Letter:
Part of the obligation of nominating someone for Honorary Cavalier is looking not just at those who lead or are at the forefront of the organization, but at the people who work tirelessly, are always there when needed or called upon and never ask for attention or recognition. They can always be relied upon for any task and never see anything as too menial if it serves the organization or the members. Sue Heitzman is just such an individual.

Sue was very involved with CPI, helping to fulfill orders and doing inventory, both pre- and post-season. She helped fit and order our iconic Cavaliers jackets for many years. She was a fixture at all of the various booster fund-raising events for several decades, supporting in any way she could. She also sold tickets at our home shows and hosted many Cavalier board meetings in her home.

Don and Sue’s 2 sons marched in The Cavaliers and she was always there to cheer them on.. Alongside Don in his role as Cavalier Treasurer and CPI chairperson, she recognized the important role she played as well and what it meant to generations of Cavaliers.

We are grateful to both Don and Sue for their many contributions and feel that Sue is very deserving of this award.
