The Cavaliers held their second audition camp this weekend at McNeil High School in Austin, Texas. It was a very successful weekend for The Cavalier returning veterans and first time candidates for the 2009 Season. This satellite camp attracted the best attendance and talent thus far. The brass and percussion sections prepared many new encore pieces as the color guard participated in movement and equipment technique classes. Combinations of body and equipment were also shared by the color guard.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the local alumni, support staff, and instructional staff for their encouragement and help in making this an educational experience for all camp attendees. In addition, we would like to extend special thanks to the McNeil High School Band Parent Organization and Cavalier Alumni Jason Dimiceli, associate director of bands. Their hospitality was very much appreciated.
The January Call-Back Camp is just around the corner. The camp will begin on Friday, January 9, 2009 in Rosemont, Illinois. Registration will be held at the Rosemont School staring at 5:30 PM and will conclude at the school on Sunday at noon. January camp payments can now be made online at
