Thien Pham brings over a decade of leadership and logistical expertise to the marching arts. With nine years of dedicated service to the corps, Thien plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and successful operations on the road—balancing efficiency, care for members and staff, and a deep understanding of the unique demands of tour life.

A seasoned performer himself, Thien marched with The Colts Drum & Bugle Corps and the acclaimed Riverside City College (RCC). His passion for teaching led him back to The Colts, where he spent seven years on the instructional staff, helping to develop and mentor young performers. These formative years as a performer shaped his commitment to excellence and built the foundation for a lifelong career in the marching arts.

In addition to his work with drum corps, he serves on the board of Winter Guard Arizona (WGAZ) for a decade, including currently as President, where he helped guide strategic growth, foster educational initiatives, and support local ensembles across the state.

Thien is currently involved with several key organizations that shape the marching arts, including Arizona Marching Band Association (AzMBA)Bands of America (BOA)Southern California Percussion Alliance (SCPA)WGAZ, and Winter Guard International (WGI). His behind-the-scenes leadership and dedication to excellence have earned him a reputation as someone who leads with integrity, detail, and a deep commitment to the student experience.

Thien holds degrees in Sociology and Business from Arizona State University, which inform both his people-first leadership style and his strategic approach to managing complex organizations and events.

Outside of his professional roles, Thien enjoys exploring Arizona’s outdoors through hiking, discovering new travel destinations, and experiencing local cultures through food. His curiosity and adventurous spirit mirror the energy he brings to the marching arts community.

Thien is proudly endorsed by Innovative Percussion and Zildjian.
