Ryan Alm

Ryan Alm has been judging visual and design captions at marching band and winter guard events across the country for nearly three decades. As a performer, Ryan marched six years with the Glassmen Drum & Bugle Corps and while obtaining his economics degree from the University of Cincinnati, began teaching visual performance and movement technique for high school marching bands and winter guards throughout the Midwest. Since then, he has stayed active in the pageantry arts as a judge, consultant, and administrator but recently returned to this long-time passion for teaching as a member of the visual staff of the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps (2019) and the Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps (2021, 2022, 2023).

Since 2000, Ryan has served as President of the Pride Youth Development Foundation, sponsors of the Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard and the Pride of Cincinnati Dance Ensemble. Professionally, he is Vice President of Strategy & Planning and Innovation Practice Lead for a multinational financial services company based in Boston, MA.
