Ric Talbut
Ric Talbut was involved with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps for 4 seasons, as a member of the color guard (1984-1986), and as a member of the guard staff in 1987. Ric joined the CAPE Board of Directors in 2021 and has served on and chaired the Governance Committee and Ethics & Compliance Committee.
Ric received his MBA in Operations Management from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Finance from State University of New York, New Paltz. He has spent his career in Financial Services Operations, project managing, transformation initiatives that focus on operational efficiency, cost savings and identification of income opportunities. Since 2007 he has been based in England, working for GE Capital and Barclays Bank UK and currently is employed by BlackRock Investments as Director – Legal & Compliance.
Ric has been both an instructor and Trustee on the Board for Southern Knights Performing Arts, a youth organization of 4 winter guards that compete in the Winter Guard United Kingdom (WGUK) circuit. He is also affiliated with Winter Guard UK (WGUK) and Drum Corps UK (DCUK) driving their DEI initiatives. Ric resides in the Redhill Surrey area of London and admits that his hobbies preclude him from any more hobbies.
