Marty Schlenker
Marty Schlenker is an alumnus of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps (French horn, 1990-1992) and has been a member of the CAPE Board of Directors since 2016 and has served on the Governance, Revenue Development, Marketing, and Alumni Relations committees.
He became an independent transportation and technology consultant in 2021 after nearly 25 years in leadership positions with several large US railroads. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and a Master's degree in Transportation from the MIT Center for Transportation Studies.
His professional affiliations include American Railroad Engineering & Maintenance Association (AREMA), Canadian Blockchain Supply Chain Association, Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), and the National Defense Transportation Association.
Beyond CAPE, Marty’s affiliations have included the Arts Council of Fort Worth and Tarrant County, Southlake Community Band, United Way of Tarrant County, West Chester University of Pennsylvania, and MIT.
He is a native of the Chicago suburbs and currently resides with wife Lucy and their 3 college aged children in Mechanicsburg, PA after a long stint in the DFW area.
