Jon Popham

Jon Popham is a visual instructor based out of Georgetown, Kentucky. Jon’s drum corps career began in 2009, marching trumpet with the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps. Jon joined the Glassmen visual staff immediately after aging-out in 2010. From 2013 to 2022, Jon was a member of the Blue Knights visual staff.

In addition to drum corps, he has also worked with Rhythm X Winds, Cap City Percussion, and has been on staff for the Williamstown “Band of Spirit” for 15 years. Jon is an active drill designer and clinician for many high school and college marching bands, as well as WGI groups throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He is currently designing for groups in Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, and Ohio.

Jon is a graduate from the University of Kentucky and University of the Cumberlands. He holds a Rank I and is a special education teacher at Williamstown High School. Jon is married to his wife Morgan and they enjoy traveling, going to UK games, and spending time with their dog, Josie.
