Joe Wesche

Joe Wesche has been a band director for 18 years. He is currently the lead band director and school district department chair of the Forest Hills school district in Cincinnati, Ohio. Under his direction, all of the programs have seen tremendous success and growth. Prior to being the band director at Turpin, Wesche was the Band Director at Campbell County High School in Alexandria, Kentucky from 2004-2007. His marching groups have been BOA semi-finalists, midstates open class champions, state finalists, WGI regional champions and more.

Wesche has been involved with the drum corps. activity as a performer or teacher since 1997. He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps., winning a World Championship title in 2000.

Wesche holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Education. His professional affiliations include OMEA and MENC.

Wesche is an adjudicator for winter winds & percussion in the areas of music, visual and general effect. He also serves as a program coordinator, music arranger and drill writer for a variety of marching ensembles.
