Joe Wesche has been at Turpin High School in the Forest Hills School Distirct since the fall of 2007. His responsibilities include teaching the Wind Ensemble and Marching Band as well as assisting with the Concert Band. In addition, he also oversees the Basketball Pep Band, Winter Percussion and Winter Guard. Under his direction, the Turpin High School Band Program has seen tremendous success and growth. Prior to being at Turpin, Wesche was the Band Director at Campbell County High School in Alexandria, Kentucky from 2004-2007.
Wesche received holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a Master’s degree in Education. While in college, he received the Corbett Scholarship awarding a full ride scholarship for the music schools top students. Mr. Wesche spent 6 years being involved with drum and bugle corps. He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps., winning a World Championship title in 2000. Wesche then went on to be a drum corps staff member. His professional affiliations include OMEA and MENC. Wesche also serves as the Forest Hills School District band chair.
