David Criscuolo
David Criscuolo began his marching arts career with the Westfield HS drum line from 2016-2020. He played bass drum and tenors, and was a member of the indoor color guard from 2019-2020. Following high school, David decided to continue studying music at Towson University to become a music educator. In his time at Towson, he has distinguished himself as an excellent percussion performer, winning the 2023 Concerto Competition and the 2023 Peggy Friedmann-Gordon Music Competition, and also performed as a guard artist with the Towson University Dance Company in 2023. He played tenors for the Towson University Marching Band from 2020-2021 and was a member of the Towson University Winter Guard in 2022. His passion for color guard only continued to grow, and he went on to march with The Cavaliers in 2022, returning in 2023 for his age out. He performed with George Mason University Winter Guard in 2023, and is a current member of Fusion Winter Guard for the 2024 season.
After many years of development as a performer, David started to look for ways to give back to the activity that had given him so much. He started his educational journey right where it all began, teaching the Westfield HS drum line in 2021 and then moving on to primarily teach color guard (2022-present). Since then, he has continued on to various programs and spread his knowledge across several states. He has worked with the Briar Woods HS color guard (2023), the Urbana HS drum line and color guard (2023-present), and has been a consultant for the Towson University color guard (2023).
Still a full time student at Towson University, David has a tight schedule, but enjoys the hours he gets to himself in thepractice room, the drives up to New Jersey for winter guard rehearsals, and spending time with his partner, Megan.
