Chad Berkstresser
Chad is extremely honored and excited to bring his passion and love for the activity to The Cavaliers Drum Corps.
Chad has been involved in the performing arts for over 30 years and says he will continue to share his passion for the performing and marching arts with each and every performer he has the privilege of instructing. It’s his way of giving back to the activities that have brought him so much joy! He has and continues to serve as an instructor, program designer, consultant and choreographer for BOA, WGI, TCGC and Texas UIL/State Championship groups. Chad’s program designs have earned numerous finalist accolades in the marching band, drum corps and WGI arenas and he continues to be a a highly sought after designer and program coordinator for both the fall and winter programs.
Chad's passion for band and the marching arts started in high school when he was part of the Colorguard at Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. He continued his passion for performing when he joined the Alliance of Miami and then won several World Championships with the San Jose Raiders.
Chad’s love for teaching has taken him all over the country...allowing him to serve as head Designer and Director for such groups as Carmel HS, Choctawhatchee HS, The Woodlands HS and Father Ryan. Chad has had the fortunate opportunity to work with numerous DCI corps in his past including the Blue Knights, Boston Crusaders and the Phantom Regiment. He also had the pleasure of working with Cypress Independent Winterguard who had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Lady Gaga on her halftime performance at the Super Bowl in 2017.
Chad has and continues to work with high school and University programs across the country but says his focus in the immediate is on his current Director position with Spring HS...along with design/choreography positions with Friendswood HS (TX), Damonte Ranch HS (NV), Edge Independent (GA)...and proudly adds The Cavaliers to this list!
