The Cavaliers Introduce Two Educational Leadership Positions

ROSEMONT, IL- The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the appointments of Tom Aungst as Ensemble Coordinator and Bret Kuhn as Education Coordinator for 2025. Both Aungst and Kuhn bring decades of world-class drum corps experience and expertise to these critical roles, further strengthening the corps' commitment to educational excellence.


 
 

Tom Aungst will lead the corps' ensemble rehearsals, working closely with the staff to define and achieve educational goals. His responsibilities will include on-the-ground staff coordination during tour, managing staff meetings, and setting daily schedules that cater to the various needs and priorities of different sections. Aungst's previous experience in similar roles with The Cadets and Music City drum corps makes him ideally suited for this position at The Cavaliers.

As the Education Coordinator, Bret Kuhn will spearhead staff development and student leadership training initiatives. He will play a crucial role in fostering alignment among staff members on educational goals and teaching philosophies. Kuhn will also provide mentorship to both staff and student leaders, nurturing their growth and development within the organization.

In addition to their respective roles, both Aungst and Kuhn will contribute their expertise to the design team, providing valuable input and consultation for the creation of the 2025 production.
