Cavaliers participate in 2018 DCI Giving Challenge
Drum Corps International is kicking off the exciting 2018 DCI Giving Challenge and will take place from Saturday, July 28, the day of DCI Southeastern Championship to Friday, August 3, the first day of the DCI Eastern Classic with the winner announced Saturday, August 4.
The DCI Giving Challenge sheds light on the individual fundraising efforts of all participating DCI ensembles in World Class, Open Class and SoundSport in one effort. The Cavaliers are proud to be participating in this effort yet again.
A “winner” from each division will be announced on the FloMarching live stream during the second night of the DCI Eastern Classic broadcast from Allentown's historic J. Birney Crum Stadium. In this situation, however, everyone “wins" by creating a focused campaign designed to amplify our individual efforts.
Last year, we raised a whopping total of $67,189, finishing just below the Boston Crusaders!
The Cavaliers have set a goal of $70,000 to honor our 70th year as a drum corps!
All donations will go toward:
Food (70,000 individual servings per year!)
Fuel and vehicle rental costs (10,000 miles our dozen vehicles will drive this summer)
Instructional fees for our world class teachers and designers
Medical support for the members from a team of dedicated doctors and nurses
Our uniforms, instruments, and equipment, and much, much MORE!
Please go to give.cavaliers.org/challenge and consider a donation of:
$25 / $70 / $100 / $250 / $500 / $1000 / $2,500
This is the last major fundraising effort of the year for The Cavaliers and every donation and every dollar is very, very important. Help us finish 2018 strong as we prepare for 2019! You all are amazing friends and supporters of The Cavaliers!
