THIEN PHAM
2026 Honorary Cavalier
Nominated By: Dr. Brenda Brak, Daryel Sandoval, Nathan Torres, and Zach Harper
In Thien’s role as Operations Manager, he is responsible for project management, budget control and adaptability. He oversees housing, travel and equipment needs for the corps, manages organizational data and operational communications, and collaborates with the summer tour administration team to help execute a successful season. He works closely with the corps director and tour manager, educational caption leadership, department managers and local operations coordinator. He sends communications to the members to help them meet all their participation requirements such as travel, contracts and their campdoc documentation.
Thien has grown in his time with the CAPE organization. His logistical “behind the scenes” efforts often goes unnoticed but his hard work and dedication help the membership, staff and volunteers to have a positive drum corps experience. He has remained with The Cavaliers during a decade of change and reorganization and his institutional knowledge has benefitted the corps directors he has supported. He was a previous member of the SCV drum corps and he teaches winter guard activities in his home state of Arizona and he also judges at WGI guard shows.
Thien is an integral part of a smooth summer tour each season for The Cavaliers. He is well deserving of this honor.
