BILL MUGNAI
2026 AD Legacy Award Winner
Nominated by Stan Boduch and Don Heitzman
Bill Mugnai was a marching member of The Cavaliers from 1982-1984. He has since been a quietly supportive volunteer and supporter of the corps while very involved with the Boy Scouts of America as a Scoutmaster, Troop Leader, and passing along those skills to young scouts. In the past few decades Bill has been a mainstay at every opportunity with no job too small or menial. He has always been there to support the cook crew, the uniform staff, helping with the garage and been an example to Cavalier FMMs everywhere. In the past several years Bill has transferred the skills learned at BSA to CAPE, formalizing and organizing our Volunteer recruitment programs and ensuring that those volunteers feel welcomed, supported, and appreciated. He has also increased his involvement in CAPE leadership, becoming a member of the CAA Board of Directors and now filling the role of CAA President, giving him a seat at the CAPE board table. Bill Mugnai exemplifies the description for the Adolph DeGrauwe Legacy Award and I ask the committee and BOD to give Bill your consideration for the award for 2026.
