2022 AD LEGACY AWARD WINNER

Nominated By:
Chris Hartowicz

Nomination Letter:
I would like to nominate Tom Cabanski for 2022 Adolph DeGrauwe Legacy Award.

Tom Cabanski has been a member of The Cavaliers Board of Directors from 1997 – 2014. He marched in The Cavaliers brass line 1956 and 1957, going to The Cavaliers after marching 3 years with the Evanston Lancers Drum & Bugle Corps.

Tom has over 50 years of manufacturing and business operations expertise. He is a retired President, CEO of CA Acquisitions, LLC dba Chicago Aerosol. Professionally, Tom has a diverse background dealing with both private and global corporations in the consumer products industry such as personal care and household products. His past experience also includes executive vice president of a family held Memphis based company and executive level management of several publicly held and private companies.

Tom's business expertise and status in Don Warren's inner circle of advisors was invaluable in keeping The Cavaliers on the cutting edge of operations and financial strength behind the scenes. Tom was responsible for the design and execution and creative financing of the last two kitchen trailers and he and his wife Pam (Honorary Cavalier) were responsible for numerous projects and pitching in behind the scenes, including the age-out buckle plaques and making sure there continued to be a supply of buckles for the following generations of Cavaliers. Tom stepped down from the board in 2014 and was granted Director Emeritus of status shortly after. He is on the short list of those in mind when creating the AD Legacy award and it's my honor to submit this nomination for consideration.
