Tim Sexton is a native of Hokes Bluff, AL and currently a Graduate Assistant in Music at Boise State University. He assists Dr. Joseph Tornello with athletic bands while pursuing a Master's degree in trumpet performance with Dr. Derek Ganong. Tim also studies applied conducting with Professor Marcellus Brown while at BSU. 

Tim Sexton acquired a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Jacksonville State University in May of 2014. During his studies, Tim became a brother of Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. Upon completing the degree, yet before commencement, he began his first tour as a performer with the cast of Blast! Brass Theater. Tim was fortunate to tour with this Tony & Emmy awarding-winning ensemble throughout Japan from May to October 2014. Mr. Sexton was previously the Director of Bands at Red Bud Middle and Sonoraville High School, both located in Calhoun, Georgia from 2015 to 2017. 

Tim is excited for his first year on brass staff with The Cavaliers. He previously taught as a visual instructor with the Madison Scouts from 2013 to 2016 and with Crossmen for their 2017 production. As a performer in DCI, Tim marched lead trumpet for Carolina Crown in 2010 & 2011, participating in a Jim Ott award-winning hornline in 2011. He then aged-out as a featured performer/soloist with Spirit of Atlanta in 2012. 

Tim has also been affiliated with instructing successful WGI Winds groups across the state of Georgia. He primarily instructed visual choreography, yet assisted with music sectionals upon request for Ola High School for 2015 & 2016 and Point University Winds Theater in 2017. All ensembles received top 3 recognition for WGI finals in Dayton, OH during these respective years. Tim also plans to virtually consult with Point University for their 2018 production.
