Patrick Hinton is excited to embark on his fifth season as a member of The Cavaliers' Brass Staff. Previously, he served on the brass team at Spirit of Atlanta in the roles of Low Brass Coordinator and Brass Supervisor. Patrick has also previously served on the brass staff of an all age corps, Atlanta CV. He was a performing member with the Spirit organization from 2002-2004.

As a recent transplant to Houston, TX, Patrick is thrilled to continue his career as a music educator and performer. He is an active teacher and clinician within the Klein and Fort Bend school districts, specializing in tuba. Most recently, Patrick lived in Atlanta, GA where he enjoyed teaching a successful low brass studio and worked with numerous high school marching bands. He was a founding member of the Beltline Brass Quintet and has performed with such groups as the Georgia Brass Band, Georgia Philharmonic, Atlanta Tuba Quartet, and Mercury Orkestar, among others. Prior to his time in Atlanta, Patrick served on the faculty of Mississippi State University as Adjunct Instructor of Tuba and Euphonium.

A native Alabamian, Patrick acquired a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Jacksonville State University. He then went on to study with Dr. Demondrae Thurman at The University of Alabama, receiving a Master of Music in Tuba Performance. During his time in Tuscaloosa, Patrick was a member of the renowned UA Wind Ensemble and the Huxford Symphony Orchestra. He also performed with the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra and was a regular member of the UA Faculty Brass Quintet.
