Nick Hansberry currently the Associate Director of Bands at La Crosse Central High School where he instructs the Symphonic Band, the Grand Central Station Show Band, Co-Director of the Red Raider Marching Band, and private lesson instruction for the members of the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band. Although being a Minnesota native, Nick earned his degree in instrumental music education from the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire where he studied tuba with Dr. Jerry A. Young and conducting with Dr. Randal C. Dickerson and Dr. John R. Stewart.

Nick maintains a very active schedule of conducting and performing in the La Crosse, WI area. Current performance engagements include the Winona Brass Band, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Wind Ensemble as well as a freelance musician. As a conductor, he conducts the Philharmonic Orchestra of the La Crosse Area Youth Symphonies and as appeared as a guest conductor for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Wind Ensemble.

A staunch advocate of the marching arts, Nick has worked extensively with marching ensembles throughout western Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area as educator, adjudicator, consultant, and designer. Additionally, Nick has served on the staff of the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps (2015), River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps (2015-2016), and The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2016-present).
