Matthew Ezeh is a freelance musician and educator in the Middle GA area. He is currently pursuing a degree in Music Education from Mercer University in Macon, GA and studies trombone under Hollie Lawing-Pritchard.
As a DCI performer, he marched with Alliance DBC in 2016, the Oregon Crusaders in 2017, and finished his marching career with The Cavaliers as a featured trombone soloist in 2018. Outside of drum corp, he stays active by playing in numerous ensembles at Mercer, including the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Brass Quintet and Pit Orchestra. In addition, Matthew also plays in the band 95.waves, an R&B/Neo-Soul group that plays regularly in the Middle GA area.
As an educator, he works with many schools teaching group brass lessons and private lessons. Matthew also teaches the Jones County High School Marching Band as a brass and visual instructor. Since coming on staff with JCHS in 2017, the band has done very well competitively, now frequently receiving superior ratings and even winning Best In Class at the Oconee Classic this season. In his free time, Matthew enjoys watching basketball & tennis, and discovering new & weird music.
