Matt Sandleback has worked with Wheaton Warrenville South Marching Band & Plainfield South Marching Band and also has been a guest conductor for schools in Wisconsin. Sandleback runs and operates his own music studio out of Wheaton, IL. where he teaches music theory, composition, flute, and piano. Other teaching experience includes other schools such as: West Aurora High School, Hubble Middle School, Franklin Middle School, & Edison Middle School.
Sandlebacks' accomplishments include being recipient of the John Philip Sousa Award for superior musicianship, dependability, loyalty, and cooperation; success for his Flute Masterclasses; presentation of his in-depth research on Musical Dyslexia to several education classes at Northern Illinois University; 4th place in research exhibition for research in the field of music education at Northern Illinois University.
During his down-time, Sandleback enjoys composing and arranging music of which a few have been performed by several organizations in the Chicagoland area. He also studies conducting in hopes of pursuing a graduate degree in the field later on.
