Throughout his pageantry career, Lamar Long has taught and designed for a number of successful programs, including Northview HS, Lincoln-Way HS, Marian Catholic HS, Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, and Blessed Sacrament Color Guards.
Long started his performance career as a color guard member of The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps and he performed with Winter Guard International (WGI) Independent World Class finalist Crown Guard.
Long received his undergraduate degree in Fine Arts/Mass Communications from DePauw University (Ind.) and obtained his master’s degree in Fine Arts Education from DePaul University, in Chicago, Ill.
Most recently, Lamar Long worked for three years at Inspire Arts & Music, parent company for the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps, in the role of Director of Marketing, Media, and Brand Development. In this role, Long created and directed the communications and visual vision of Inspire's programs. Long worked for Apple, Inc. and resides in Algonquin, IL.
