Dr. Jonathan Gill maintains an active studio of over 60 students in the Southlake-Carroll and Lewisville ISD’s.  For the last 5 years, his students have consistently been placed at the top of their all-region band auditions and have received superior ratings at solo and ensemble festivals. As an active freelancer in the DFW area, Dr. Gill has performed with groups such as the Dallas Wind Symphony, Lone Star Wind Orchestra, San Angelo Symphony, East Texas Symphony, Wichita Falls Symphony, Shreveport Symphony, Irving Symphony, Plano Symphony, Dallas Pops Orchestra, and Irving Lyric Stage Pit Orchestra. Dr. Gill has also held the position of Adjunct Professor of Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba at Tarleton State University and Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

In addition to his professional playing career and local teaching, Dr. Gill has also has had the privilege to participate in, teach, and work with some of the finest marching bands and drum corps in the United States, including Kennesaw Mountain High School, Spirit of Atlanta, The Madison Scouts, and most recently The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corp. 2018 will mark his fifth year on the brass staff of The Cavaliers.

Dr. Gill holds degrees from the University of Georgia (BM of Ed.), the University of South Florida (MM), and the University of North Texas (DMA Perf.).
