On top of being a researcher, Jonathan is an active photographer. He maintains a studio for portrait and event photography, and has worked on photographing a variety of situations, from individual portraits to weddings. A former member of the Nation’s Premier College Marching Band, the University of Illinois Marching Illini, Jonathan now serves as a Media Coordinator and Photographer. As a freelance photographer, Jonathan has had pictures published in multiple outlets, including the Chicago Tribune. Starting in the fall, he is joining the staff of The Daily Illini as the Senior Sports Photographer, where he will be managing all sports photography for the paper. He will serve as a Photojournalist with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps.

When not in the office or on the field with a camera in his hand, Jonathan is an avid reader, coffee drinker, and baseball fan. He enjoys reading all varieties of non-fiction including philosophy, history, political research, and daily newspapers. Also, he is an active musician with Illinois Bands and Athletic Bands, and enjoys quilting when he can.
