Chris Lugo serves The Cavaliers as Executive Director, a role he has held since October of 2015.
Lugo’s charge is to ensure the long-term success and sustainability of this 71-year-old nonprofit organization through an energetic focus on organizational growth, internal and external leadership, strategic development, operations, and professional communications.
He previously held marketing positions with IBM Corporation (Chicago) and Direct Energy Business (Pittsburgh), with nonprofit fundraising experience at the Alzheimer’s Association (Pittsburgh) and The Cavaliers as Director of Development and Communications from 2012 to 2015.
Lugo is an alumnus of Teal Sound (1999-2000) and The Cavaliers (2002-2005), and he has formerly served as a volunteer, a board member of the Cavalier Alumni Association, and a board member of The Cavaliers’ organization.
Lugo is married to his long-time partner and husband Tommy Allen, who both reside in Chicago, Ill., with their dog Varik.
